This work includes developing and interpreting practice group performance metrics and designing reporting processes and tools to provide timely and actionable data to practice group leaders and other members of senior leadership. This role involves de-aggregating metrics and providing recommendations for improvement, assessing performance against key industry benchmarks, and assessing the impact of various performance improvement efforts.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Assist with designing reporting packages and analyses to assess and understand practice group performance* Identify and investigate trends, anomalies, and opportunities.* Design and maintain reporting processes, and regularly assess delivery methods and identify improvement opportunities.* Work with the Financial Systems and IT teams on the development and enhancement of reporting tools, including dashboards and other dynamic reporting tools.* Generate ad hoc financial models and data analysis* Prepare, or assist in the preparation, of recurring and special management reports.* Prepare queries across multiple sources to generate data.* Manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets or other tools in order to summarize financial reports requested.* Work closely with other Finance functions, including Pricing, Billing, and Rate Management, on reporting needs and ad hoc requests for financial information and analysis.* Provide support to other Business Operations teams, including Business Development, Lawyer Talent, and Recruiting, as requested.**QUALIFICATIONS:*** Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred.* A minimum of 2 years of job-related experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services firm.* Proven ability to synthesize metrics into practical insights and communicate those insights confidently.* High level of proficiency with Excel and consideration will be given to experience with SQL, PowerBI, and legal financial systems (Aderant or Elite).The firm offers a generous total compensation package with bonuses and raises awarded in recognition of individual merit-based performance. The salary offer will be contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, market data, job location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
