Torsap Thai Kitchen
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs on frequent basis. Stand for long periods of time. Work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to a variety of weather conditions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY Prepare food from standardized recipes showing proper use of basic kitchen equipment. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen. Assemble food quickly in a fast-paced environment. Prepare, maintain, and store foods following proper food handling guidelines. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Follow prep lists prepared by chefs to plan daily duties. Prepare cooking ingredients and undertake basic cooking duties. Demonstrate proper cleanliness standards and organization including safe use of cleaning chemicals. Ability to display proper and safe knife handling techniques. Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership team based on business needs. Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business needs, to include opening, middle, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays. Follow company and department policies and procedures. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass food safety class within 30 days. 1-year cooking experience in a high-volume culinary location preferred, but willing to train a motivated and coachable candidate.
