Bartender - Lead

Job Details: Location: Taco Escobar - Las Vegas, NV 89101; Position Type: Full Time; Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00 Hourly; Job Shift: Any Job Summary The Lead Bartender will oversee the preparation, serve, and mix drinks to create classic and innovative cocktails that meet guests’ needs and expectations. The primary role is to provide friendly, attentive, and timely service that creates an exceptional experience for all guests. Responsibilities Keeping track of bar inventory and ordering supplies Maintaining relationships with members of the craft liquor community, such as distributors and brewers Scouting popular drink trends within the community Coordinating recipes Communicating menu changes and additions to bar management and ownership Integrating new menus Making specialty mix‑ins, such as simple syrups Introducing new products and marketing initiatives Creating systems for everyday bar operations, including checklists, end‑of‑night reporting, shift reviews, and updating tip sheets Maintaining positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages Taking beverage orders, accepting guest payments, and processing credit‑card charges Preparing and serving alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and overseeing the accuracy of other bartenders Peeling, slicing, and pitting fruit for garnishing drinks Balancing the cash register at the start and close of each shift Presenting drink menus, making recommendations, and answering questions regarding beverages Maintaining cleanliness in all bar areas, including counters, sinks, utensils, and shelves Restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies Keeping bottles and glasses attractive and functional to support efficient drink preparation and promotion Understanding and complying with all safety regulations and rules Assisting in the training of new employees Performing any other duties assigned Qualifications Excellent knowledge of serving techniques, standard cocktails, and fine wines Excellent knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills Basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a cash register Ability to handle a fast‑paced work environment Outstanding guest service skills Clear and effective communication skills (verbal & written) Positive attitude and professional presentation Flexibility to work required hours, including off hours, weekends, and holidays in a 24‑hour location Physical Requirements Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time Difficulty reading or visually verifying small print Ability to lift at least 50 pounds (with assistance if more) Visual inspection of tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects Ability to move quickly, turning left and right Flexibility in wrist movements for scooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending Reach above and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping Mobility in walk‑in refrigerator and freezer ranging from 40°F to -10°F Education & Required Experience High School Diploma or GED Minimum 21 years of age Minimum 3–7 years of food and beverage service experience, or related experience Must be able to obtain a Sheriff’s card and required work/health cards Equal Opportunity Employer LEV Restaurant Group is an equal opportunity employer.
