Ideals has been in the Virtual Data Room space since 2008 and has built a trusted reputation with clients across multiple industries in Europe, including Orcan Energy, E-Gruppe, Deloitte, and EY.
To support the next stage of Ideals VDR growth in Germany, we are looking for an Account Executive (BDM) based in Berlin. Joining our DACH Field Sales team alongside your teammates in Munich and Frankfurt, you will own the full new business sales cycle: proactively building outbound pipeline, engaging corporate decision-makers, and acquiring new customers across Finance, Banking, Corporate Development, Legal, and other relevant sectors.
As a front-line, quota-carrying team member, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders, and closing deals that directly contribute to our continued expansion in Germany. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys high ownership, proactive outreach, face-to-face selling.
Compensation package: 50% base salary; 50% performance-based variable (uncapped).
What You Will Do
- Own the full sales cycle in Germany, from self-generated pipeline to closed deals
- Deliver sales targets by focusing on new customer acquisition
- Create and develop new opportunities through cold outreach, networking, events, and in-person meetings
- Build relationships with decision-makers across financial institutions, advisory firms, and other strategic German accounts
- Consistently share insights and provide updates to customers
- Take part in arranging M&A Community events, enhancing Ideals visibility
- Provide relevant customer feedback to the product development and management teams
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Inside Sales to grow customer satisfaction and the company's revenue
What You Bring
- 3+ years of demonstrable success in direct sales or business development within B2B sales, SaaS, fintech, financial services, or professional services with clear new business ownership
- Clear evidence of a hunter mindset: proactive outbound prospecting, building pipeline from scratch, opening new doors, and consistently driving opportunities forward
- A track record of managing your own pipeline, converting opportunities, and closing new business deals against quota
- Strong business communication skills, with the ability to run effective discovery, structure persuasive pitches, and build trust with decision-makers
- Full professional proficiency in English and C1+/native-level fluency in German
- Based in Berlin or within a realistic commuting distance for regular in-person client meetings

- Background in M&A, SaaS, fintech, financial services, information security, VDR, or other high-trust B2B industries
- Experience selling to corporate, finance, legal, M&A, or executive-level stakeholders
