Senior Project CoordinatorThe Senior Project Coordinator position focuses on managing complex import and export project cargo shipments from execution through final delivery. The person will be responsible for coordinating breakbulk, RORO, flat rack, and other out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments, working closely with trucking providers, warehouses, customers, and vendors to ensure cargo moves on time and any issues are proactively communicated. They will also handle vendor sourcing and rate negotiations, issue delivery orders, manage logistics costs, and serve as an escalation point for operational issues within the team.Daily responsibilities include:Coordinate OOG import and export shipments.Issue delivery orders to trucking carriers and warehouses.Ensure cargo is delivered on time and customer is kept informed of any changes or delays.Help to mentor and train fellow team members on OOG cargo operations.Be the first point of contact for team operational issues that need to be escalated to project manager.Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.Obtain and negotiate quotes from vendors.Experience & skills requirements:Education:High School Diploma or GED (required)Bachelors Degree (preferred, but not required)Experience:5+ years of operations experience in project freight forwardingExperience with breakbulk, RORO, and OOG flat rack shipments.Experience with CargoWise is required.Experience with air freight and government/ITARSkills needed:Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OutlookImport/Export documentationExcellent Customer Service SkillsLeadership qualitiesIndependent Worker and Adaptable to ChangesA solid understanding of logistics cost managementVendor ManagementQuoting logistics shipmentsNegotiation skillsNotice to applicants applying to positions in the United States: You must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00*The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary and may be adjusted based on market conditions, experience, and location.
