We're looking for a senior litigation paralegal with at least 7 years of civil litigation experience to take ownership of case management across an active litigation and probate docket — including emergency/TRO matters, contested probate litigation, and general civil litigation through trial. This is not an entry-level support role: we need someone who can run point on a case file with minimal supervision, anticipate deadlines before they're a problem, and bring real trial-prep experience to the table. The position is in-office, with hybrid flexibility considered for the right candidate.

Compensation:

$85,000 - $100,000 yearly DOE

Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation case files from intake through trial, including discovery, deadline calendaring, and e-filing (experience with Clio software a plus)

• Draft and prepare pleadings, subpoenas, affidavits, discovery requests/responses, motions, and correspondence for attorney review

• Coordinate and communicate with client, courts, process servers, and trial vendors

• Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses and perform fact investigation

• Prepare trial binders, exhibit lists, and deposition materials; support trial presentation (experience with trial software a plus)

• Support emergency motion practice, including TROs and injunctive relief matters, on short turnaround

• Coordinate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel's staff on scheduling and document exchange

• Assist with contested and uncontested probate matters, including document preparation and court filings

• Mentor and guide junior support staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills

• Minimum 7 years of civil litigation paralegal experience (Texas litigation experience required; probate litigation experience a strong plus)

• Strong working knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and e-filing systems

• Demonstrated experience managing trial prep from discovery through verdict (with experience actually in trial)

• Excellent independent judgment — comfortable owning a file and flagging issues before they become missed deadlines

• High level of organizational and time-management skills

• Strong written communication skills and close attention to detail with a keen eye for proper grammar

• Paralegal certificate or equivalent litigation experience
