Key Responsibilities
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas, including operating rooms and common spaces.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively.
- Properly handle, separate, and dispose of regular and biohazardous waste materials.
- Adhere to all infection prevention, safety, and organizational policies.
- Work both independently and collaboratively to fulfill department objectives.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Previous experience in a related cleaning or housekeeping role is advantageous.
- Certification as a Surgical Cleaning Technician is a plus.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
This position operates on a first shift schedule within a regional healthcare facility in the Midwest.
