Job Summary: This role is dedicated to ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in healthcare settings, adhering strictly to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas, including operating rooms and common spaces.
- Clean and disinfect equipment and supplies, ensuring they are safe for use.
- Properly handle, separate, and dispose of both regular and biohazardous waste.
- Adhere to all infection prevention and safety policies.
- Work both independently and collaboratively to fulfill department objectives.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Previous experience in a related role is advantageous.
- Certification as a Surgical Cleaning Technician is preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience recommended.
Work Schedule: First shift, approximately 37.5 hours per week, with rotating holidays and weekend duties.
This position is located in a regional healthcare facility within the Midwest area of the United States.
