What this job involves - JLL is seeking a Director of Global Occupancy Planning & Management to lead strategic space planning initiatives across APAC, LATAM, and AMER regions. This role provides crucial global leadership in delivering JLL's best practices through Occupancy Planning & Management products, solutions, and tools while partnering closely with client real estate teams to drive tactical and strategic planning aligned with portfolio objectives.What is your day-to-day?Strategic Leadership & AccountabilityProvide strategic oversight of multiple regions while driving consistency, innovation, and excellence across global real estate portfoliosManage global OP account budget for occupancy planning across APAC, LATAM, and AMER, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost efficiencyOwn and manage strategic multi-regional relationships, serving as executive-level point of contact for key client stakeholdersDrive space planning and data management programs to help client achieve real estate and workplace objectivesTeam Leadership & People ManagementLead and manage a global team of occupancy planners across three regions with full accountability for performance outcomesStructure, staff, and manage team with clarity of expectations across time zones, setting clear performance metrics and taking corrective action when necessaryBuild high-performing team capable of responding to dynamic client needs across cultural and geographic boundariesCrisis Management & Rapid ResponseLead crisis response efforts during urgent account situations, deploying rapid solutions while maintaining client confidence and account integrityNavigate high-pressure scenarios with resilience, making decisive risk-informed decisions under tight timelinesDemonstrate composure and strategic thinking during space planning emergencies, system failures, or client escalationsImplement preventive measures and contingency planning to minimize future disruptions across regional operationsProcess Excellence & Cross-Functional CollaborationDrive process improvements to provide efficiencies in service delivery and measurable cost savingsChampion innovation and technological advancement in occupancy planning methodologiesWork closely with facilities, MAC, projects, and local stakeholders across JLL service lines to deliver integrated solutions and ensure seamless client experienceEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field required; MBA preferred8–15 years of experience in corporate environment with demonstrated progression in leadership responsibilityPrevious experience in strategic space/occupancy planning and space data management with proven track record managing diverse teams across multiple regionsDemonstrated experience managing budgets and driving revenue growth in professional services environmentTechnical ExpertiseAbility to leverage technology to tell compelling data stories that influence strategic decisionsUnderstanding of activity-based working, change management, and utilization trackingBusiness AcumenDeep understanding of corporate real estate dynamics across global markets with commercial awarenessSolid grasp of client business models and regional industry contexts across APAC, LATAM, and AMERStrategic mindset with demonstrated bias toward transformation, solution execution, and measurable business outcomesCore CompetenciesCommunication ExcellenceExceptional written and verbal communication across all leadership levels and diverse cultural contextsAbility to influence senior stakeholders and drive consensus across competing interestsStrategic Problem-Solving & Decision-MakingRisk-informed decision-making that balances client needs, operational constraints, and business objectivesProven ability to analyze ambiguous situations, develop options, and recommend optimal courses of actionLeadership & InfluenceExceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building at all organizational levelsManagerial courage to address performance issues, make difficult decisions, and advocate for team needsPersonal AttributesIntellectually curious with appetite for calculated risk-takingResilient, resourceful, and accountable with high ownership mentalityCollaborative mindset with authentic "partner" approachUnwavering ethical standards and professional integrityThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
