Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Neuro Med-Surg Telemetry – Maryland

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 1:5 patient ratio; every other weekend and holiday required; floating to Med-Surg and Med-Surg/Telemetry units as needed

Highlights:

• 36-bed Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit within a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Diverse case mix including CVA, ischemic stroke, epilepsy, seizures, radiculopathy, cervical stenosis, rhabdomyolysis, post-laminectomy, post-ACDF, post-craniotomy, and ETOH withdrawal
• Unit utilizes continuous bedside EEG monitoring, telemetry, and bladder scanning
• Cerner EMR system; navy blue scrubs required
• Teaching hospital environment with Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome

Requirements:

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required upon submission
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Neurology experience required
• CVA/acute stroke care and pre/post-neurosurgery experience required
• Experience with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury required
• Feeding-tube care, pre/post-hemodialysis care, and renal-failure experience required
• Surgical drain, wound care/wound VAC, oxygen administration, and isolation/PPE experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
• Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias required and must be successfully completed before orientation
• Maryland-approved trauma education required (16 hours by week 27)
• 8 hours annual stroke continuing education required
• 4 hours annual trauma-related continuing education required
• TCRN certification preferred
