About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 12 Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Experience: Telemetry Medical-Surgical Unit, IV skills required License: Current Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry - Strong IV skills Description: This position involves working in a medical unit for 13 weeks. The shift is for 12 hours during the day. The schedule includes 36 hours per week. Weekends are required every other week. Holidays are required every other and as needed. The patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders. The unit consists of 38 beds, with an RN to patient ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends. The Patient Care Technician to patient ratio is 1:10.
