Job Description

 Henry Ford Health System, one of the largest and most comprehensive integrated U.S. health care systems, is a national leader in clinical care, research and education. The pediatric hospitalist is expected to work 6 shifts (12 hours each) in a 2-week pay period. The shifts are divided between Henry Ford Macomb and Henry Ford West Bloomfield and include weekdays, weeknights and weekend days and nights. Responsibilities include rounding on well-newborns, pediatric inpatients, seeing pediatric consults in the emergency room and co-managing post-operative surgical patients.

 

Shifts run 7A-7P and 7P-7A. The average census (a combination of pediatrics and newborns) is 15 at West Bloomfield and 10 at Macomb.

Qualifications

Must have completed or currently completing an ACGME/AOA approved Pediatrics Residency Program.

Board eligible/board certified in general pediatrics, required. Board eligible/board certified in pediatric hospital medicine, preferred.

Current PALS and NRP certification are required.
