Job Title: CT Technologist Location: 310 East 14th Street, New York NY 10003 Shift: Evenings/Nights (4PM – 12AM) OR (12AM – 8AM) Duration: 8 weeks

Duties:

• Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to insure quality diagnostic CT images.
• Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment in order to ensure the equipment is calibrated and working properly before any patient study is performed.
• Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician's order following the prescribed protocol.
• Observes all department documentation policies by filling in all appropriate logs, manuals, charge documents, as well as, reporting equipment problems in order to comply with regulatory agencies.
• Performs quality control, quality assurance and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principle.
• Maintains and develops and retrieves patient films and electronic date for Radiologist interpretation.
• Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1-day prior to use.
• Receives radiopharmaceutical on day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy and procedure.
• Verifies activity level of the dose prior to administration.

Skills:

• Performs CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols in order to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
• Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient's needs prior to, during and after visits in the Radiology department.

Education:

• Requirements include licensing with NYS DOH in Radiologic Technologist, ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, and BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of CT experience; Graduate of Radiologic Technologist

Required:

• New York State License (L.R.T), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT and current CT certification)
• AHA BLS, NYS DOH Radiography license with certification to inject
