Sales Representative - Grand Junction

Overview Sales Representative – Grand Junction, Colorado Essential Duties and Responsibilities Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet websites, and other sources. Prepare regular planning and goals, as assigned by supervisor, including reports of business transactions and maintenance of a customer management profile. Maintain existing accounts and provide customer service in accordance with the company's customer‑service philosophy and standards. Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talk with customers at the place of business or by phone. Sustain the minimum number of sales calls as determined by management. Display product using various point‑of‑sale items and emphasize sellable features. Quote prices correctly with reference to company pricing guidelines and prepare sales orders. Estimate delivery dates to customers based on knowledge of delivery schedules. Collaborate with administrative and operations teammates to assure the best service is provided to customers. Coordinate customer training and product promotions. Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts. Investigate and resolve customer issues related to deliveries, billing, and all other aspects of customer service. Attend regularly scheduled sales meetings, seminars, trade shows, and special events to represent the company and its brands. Education and/or Experience Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver license Automobile insurance – $100 / $300 / $50 minimum limits of liability Computer Skills Knowledge of SAP Business software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
