Receptionist/Portry Attendant

A portry attendant is a person who has charge of a door or gate; a doorkeeper. This is a crucial role in the community, as this person serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately. The person in this position notifies the appropriate personnel of guest arrival, maintains security and telecommunications system, informs callers by answering or referring inquiries. A portry attendant also provides support to managers, other employees, and office visitors by handling a variety of tasks in order to ensure that all interactions between the organization and others are positive and productive. Scheduled time is 10-15 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Uphold the Goals and Criteria of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools and embody and communicate the school's mission and core values.
• Gatekeeper of the community, able to follow the established guidelines for admittance into the school.
• Arrive and be ready at designated location on-time.
• Answer the phone, greet, and assist guests pleasantly and with courtesy.
• Keep an organized workspace.
• Assist with printing, folding, sorting, or mailing, event programs or other mailings generated at school.
• Handle office tasks, such as filing, generating reports, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Technology Requirements:

• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Windows
• Knowledge of multi-line phone systems, fax and copier
• Google Suite
• Website and email proficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Working toward or has completed a Bachelor's Degree is preferred
