Medical Receptionist Advanced Physical Therapy, a trusted provider in the Metro Detroit area for over 30 years, is seeking a professional, friendly, and organized Medical Receptionist to join our patient-focused team. Job Description Greet patients warmly and deliver excellent customer service Manage patient scheduling from first visit through discharge Answer phones promptly and professionally Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic medical records Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information Collect, post, and process patient payments Handle incoming/outgoing correspondence (emails, faxes, etc.) Maintain a clean, organized reception area Support clinical staff with daily administrative needs Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of experience in a medical front office setting Strong communication and customer service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Experience with EMR/EHR systems (preferred) Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA Excellent organization, accuracy, and multitasking ability Positive attitude and professional appearance Additional Information Excellent benefits package including 401k, health, dental, paid time off, and more Training and support Employee discount plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Family-friendly work environment Investment from a company that wants you to succeed and thrive
