Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across all age groups utilizing standardized assessments and observation.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate goals and long-term needs in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Engage in direct speech therapy, focusing on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing function.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and families, empowering progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless continuity of care throughout treatment journeys.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Stay abreast of developments in the field via ongoing education and collaborative professional growth.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if as of yet unlicensed by ASHA.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is a plus.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment initiation.
