As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $34.32 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government office location. Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document arrivals, departures, and unusual activity. Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision. Minimum Requirements Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent. Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience. Possess an Armed Guard Card or License. Handcuffing certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
