Research Scientist, In Vivo Sciences

Job Summary The Research Scientist role will leverage animal models for preclinical translational research, assessment of target and biological pathway modulation, and establishment of PK/PD relationships with Denali’s therapeutic candidates. Key Responsibilities Provide in vivo technical support to ensure timely completion of research projects. Perform drug dosing via IV, PO, IP, and SC routes on a routine basis in mice and rats. Conduct live blood collections (submental, tail vein, etc.) and terminal blood collections by cardiac puncture. Perform necropsy procedures, including perfusion of rodents and gross anatomical tissue harvesting. Prepare study samples, label tubes, and manage sample data. Stay updated on new laboratory techniques and technologies. Document all procedures and results thoroughly. Collaborate with scientists across the organization for timely data generation. Be available for work outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays, to support in vivo procedures. Qualifications BS degree in a related scientific discipline; 0–2 years of experience preferred. Hands‑on experience with mice and rats, including handling, dosing, and tissue collection. Knowledge of surgical techniques a plus. Strong work ethic and understanding of animal welfare and care. Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to multi‑task across projects. Desire to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $90,000 to $117,000. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
