Commercial HVAC/R Business Development Representative$120,000–$200,000+ Total Earning Potential | Base Salary + Uncapped Commission Elmhurst, IL | Chicagoland TerritoryProgressive Mechanical Services is adding a Commercial HVAC/R Business Development Representative to expand our customer base and grow recurring service business across Chicagoland.This role is focused on new business development and relationship management with commercial customers. The focus is on developing relationships that turn into ongoing service, maintenance, repair, and project opportunities.You'll spend your time in the field meeting customers, visiting facilities, uncovering needs, and moving opportunities from initial conversation through close.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate new commercial business through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and other business development activitiesEstablish and maintain relationships with property managers, facility managers, business owners, and other commercial decision-makersIdentify opportunities for preventative maintenance, service agreements, repairs, replacements, and HVAC/R projectsVisit commercial facilities to assess customer needs and understand existing systems and challengesDevelop customized recommendations and proposals based on each customer's prioritiesManage opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact through closeMaintain consistent follow-up with prospects and existing accountsWork closely with the operations team to support a smooth customer experienceKeep sales activity, opportunities, and pipeline information currentWhat We're Looking ForAt least 2 years of B2B sales or business development experience with a record of successPrevious commercial sales experienceHVAC/R, construction, facility services, building services, or another technical sales background is strongly preferredDemonstrated success generating new business and converting prospects into customersStrong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skillsComfortable working independently in a field-based sales roleAbility to conduct customer meetings and facility visits throughout the Chicagoland areaValid driver's license and dependable transportationWhy Progressive Mechanical Services?Progressive Mechanical Services has served Chicagoland's commercial HVAC/R needs since 2017.
