Orthopedic APP

Adventist Health + Rideout is seeking multiple experienced Ortho Advanced Practice Provider to join our medical group just outside Sacramento in Yuba City, CA. As a Trauma APP, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to critically injured patients coming through our ED and Acute Care Surgery. Responsibilities Collaborate with the trauma team, including trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to trauma patients. Perform initial assessments and triage patients based on the severity of their injuries. Assist in resuscitation efforts, including airway management, vascular access, and administration of medications. Conduct thorough physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests to determine the extent of injuries. Interpret diagnostic test results and communicate findings to the supervising physician. Assist in performing life‑saving procedures and surgeries, such as chest tube placement, central line insertion, and wound management. Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and provide necessary interventions to stabilize their condition. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited APP program. Current certification and licensure as an APP for California. DEA/NPI. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a trauma or surgery setting. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required. Strong knowledge of trauma assessment and management protocols. Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high‑pressure situations. Benefits Salaried position. Starting bonus. 5 weeks of vacation per year. 401(k) matching and vested upon hire.
