About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Security to join their team. This is a pivotal role, as the successful candidate will be the first dedicated security hire, responsible for owning the security posture end-to-end. The role involves a player-coach dynamic, with an initial focus on hands-on work and the potential to build and lead a security team. The Head of Security will be expected to assess and address security gaps, lead incident response, and drive a cultural shift towards security across the company. Experience in a high-growth, security-focused environment is essential, with a preference for candidates who have a background in fintech, payments, or regulated industries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of at least one core security domain and the ability to reason across others, as well as an engineer's mindset and the ability to engage with the technical aspects of the role. The role also requires strong judgment, the ability to balance security with business needs, and a collaborative approach to driving change. Experience in building or co-building a security team is a plus, and the company values a candidate who can bring a real, hands-on security experience to the table. The Head of Security will be instrumental in defining the security function, with a real mandate from the founders, and will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI tools and technologies.
