Surgical Tech II, Belle Meade ASC - $20k Bonus

Overview Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is a teaching, research, and patient care hospital located in Nashville, Tennessee. Organization VHBM OR II Position Shift Full Time – Monday‑Friday, 4x10s | 6:30am – 5:00pm – No weekends, holidays, or call. Benefits New Hire Sign‑On Bonus: $20,000 (taxable) paid over 2 years (not applicable to current or former VUMC staff within the past 12 months). New Hire Relocation Bonus: Up to $10,000 (taxable) paid within 45 days of hire, based on relocation mileage (not applicable to current or former VUMC staff within the past 12 months). Key Responsibilities Assist surgeons before, during, and after surgical procedures to maintain a sterile field and provide required instruments and supplies. Plan, set up, perform, and clean up assigned surgical procedures as a circulator and scrub tech. Perform sharp, sponge, and instrument counts according to policy. Apply principles of asepsis to create and maintain a sterile field. Provide additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Graduate of an approved surgical technologist training program or completion of such a program while serving in any branch of the U.S. armed forces. Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience. Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA CST) or Tech in Surgery (NCCT TS‑C). (Exception: if graduate of armed forces training program, certification not required.) Preferred Prior experience in orthopedic cases. Technical Capabilities Surgical Equipment Knowledge – Novice.
