Physician - Child Abuse Pediatrician

Child Abuse Pediatrician – Ochsner Children’s We are looking for a board‑certified or board‑eligible Child Abuse Pediatrician to lead our expanding care system across New Orleans and the Gulf South. The role includes oversight of program development for outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department consults for suspected abuse and neglect, coordinating with a new Parish‑funded child advocacy center and a brand‑new trauma program. Responsibilities Provide patient‑ and family‑centered medical evaluations and care for suspected child abuse and neglect cases across patient‑care settings. Develop and oversee the outpatient, inpatient, and ED consult services in coordination with a new child advocacy center and existing trauma program. Collaborate with the new comprehensive pediatric ED opening early in 2028. Work closely with Children’s Hospital leadership and administration to ensure strong support for the service line. Maintain and expand services as the new five‑story Children’s Hospital opens late 2027/early 2028. Benefits Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.
