Senior Payroll Associate

The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for leading and overseeing payroll operations for a portfolio of clients, ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on schedule, and in full compliance with applicable regulations. This role also provides guidance to internal team members and serves as a key resource for complex payroll matters. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support payroll team members, including training and workflow oversight Manage client payroll engagements from initial onboarding through ongoing processing and tax compliance (many clients process payroll internally with oversight support) Review and maintain payroll systems to ensure accurate calculation of wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions Address and resolve client payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner Oversee payroll updates including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and benefit adjustments Ensure timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local payroll tax returns Maintain detailed payroll records and reporting documentation Ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws and payroll regulations Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation Evaluate current payroll processes and recommend improvements to systems and controls Perform additional duties as needed Required Experience In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliations, internal controls, and payroll tax compliance Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving capabilities Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll‑related systems #J-18808-Ljbffr Morgan Hunter
