Job Details

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Schedule: Night shifts with an expected start date of 06/29/2026
• Required Qualifications: License (Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and demonstrating a team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn. No prior years of experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Chemo Certification preferred or considered a plus.
• Staffing Details:
  • Number of Staff: 42
  • Staff Composition: 1 Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), 4-6 Registered Nurses (RNs), 2 Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs), 1 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) per shift.
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5
  • Shift Timing: Night shift with a typical working week of 36 hours
• Equipment: Standard unit equipment and electronic medical records system using Cerner.
• Procedure Experience: Occasional pelvic exams, echocardiograms, thoracentesis.
• Personality Fit: Team players who are eager to learn and adapt.
• Additional Information:
  • Float: Rarely required to float to other medical-surgical units.
  • Dress Code: RNs to wear navy, white, or a combination of both; CNAs to wear Galaxy Blue.
  • Unit Policies: Adherence to basic hospital policies and guidelines.
  • Weekends & On Call: Rare call required; staff must work six weekend days as scheduled.
  • Number of Positions: Two, created as a contractor replacement.
