Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners in an early childhood school setting on a contract basis. This on-site position focuses on delivering physical therapy services to students in an Early Childhood Program (PreK) across two schools. The assignment runs approximately 22.5 hours per week over three days, with some flexibility in choosing the consistent days you’ll be on campus. There is potential for hours to expand to a fourth day later in the school year.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid and current Missouri Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Previous experience with pediatric populations or within school-based settings highly valued
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with educators and families
- Ability to manage and organize a caseload across two locations
- Compliance with credentialing requirements, including district fingerprinting and technology policy documentation
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services tailored to preschool-aged children with diverse needs
- Conduct assessments, set treatment goals, develop intervention strategies, and measure progress
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation per district and professional standards
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and parents to enhance student access and participation
- Adapt interventions as necessary throughout the academic year to ensure student growth
