Learn more about the program: Public Service Loan Forgiveness | Federal Student Aid Flexible Work Environment: Benefit from a hybrid work model that supports work-life balance Examples of Duties Essential Function Examples Handle complex litigation with minimal need for oversight Provide legal advice, opinions, and guidance to St. Louis County officials and directors Perform other duties assigned to the County Counselor’s office Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited American law school Current licensure as an attorney by the Missouri Bar Association Five years of related work experience as a licensed attorney Selection and Appointment A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant based on the applicant's education and experience, supplemental questions, employment references, and other appropriate factors. Applicants who possess the most job‑related qualifications will be admitted to interview. Interview results will determine eligibility for appointment. Candidates will also complete a Conviction Questionnaire after interview. Selected candidates will be required to provide a urinalysis prior to appointment. All applicants conditionally offered a merit position will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
