Responsibilities
- Triage and assess adult and pediatric ED patients; initiate care plans and prioritize care based on acuity
- Administer prescribed medications and intravenous therapies; start and manage IVs and drips as ordered
- Monitor patient status, interpret basic ECG rhythms, and respond to decompensation or emergencies per protocol
- Perform RN-driven procedures within scope; manage lines, medications, and patient safety; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Document all care in the electronic medical record with accuracy and timeliness; communicate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Support boarded patients, psychiatric patients, and infectious disease–related cases; coordinate with respiratory therapy and anesthesia as needed
- Provide patient and family education related to condition, treatments, and discharge planning

Requirements
- Current New York RN license; license on file or active license application with date submitted (processing times may apply)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC; NIHSS required prior to start
- Epic experience within the past 2 years
- Minimum 1 year clinical ER experience; 1 year ER specialty experience
- Prior travel experience preferred; Charge experience preferred
- Must be able to work in a high-volume ED with variable census and occasional boarding responsibilities
