Senior Biologist in Fremont

Job Description We have an immediate need for a Senior Biologist in the Santa Clara and Fremont areas. This position requires oversight and implementation of biological, archaeological, and safety compliance on the jobsite. Position is a long‑term part‑time position, two full days per week. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for reviewing project documents and evaluating requirements Review and document if any protected bird species, nests, and buffers are present Conduct daily field inspections to ensure all compliance is met Responsible for submitting daily inspection reports along with required photos to stakeholders Ability to conduct training and provide daily environmental updates Have a clear understanding and coordinate with construction team regarding planned work activities and any construction change orders May attend construction meetings as required Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Anthropology, Archaeology or related field 7+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Experience conducting construction compliance monitoring and evaluating habitat suitability, including identifying special‑status wildlife in the Bay Area Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to the protection of species and habitats Knowledge of permit application requirements Excellent communication skills with detailed documentation and exceptional organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel Valid US driver’s license required Compensation based on experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Energy Jobline ZR
