Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• 13-week assignment
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours with potential to work only 4 or 8 hours of shift in 4-hour increments
• Must be outside a 50 mile radius of facility location
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years experience required, Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Work on MAP Unit (Medical and Pediatrics) treating adult patients only
• Treat conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and infectious diseases
• Patient ratios: 1:6-7 on nights
• Must demonstrate resilience, independence, collaboration skills, positive attitude, and flexibility
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Mask required at all times during flu season if declining flu and vaccination

This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced trauma care as a Level II trauma facility. The facility features a Medical and Pediatrics unit that focuses on treating a wide range of adult medical conditions including complex neurological, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and infectious disease cases. The organization utilizes EPIC electronic health records and maintains high standards for patient care delivery with emphasis on teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
