Description

A locum tenens Hospitalist opportunity is available for inpatient adult coverage due to short staffing and increased patient volume. This role offers consistent nocturnist shifts with a manageable census and no procedural requirements. The assignment begins June 1 with a brief orientation lasting approximately 6–8 hours. Physicians will utilize Epic Systems for all documentation and patient management.

The environment is structured, with a steady patient load and strong clinical support systems in place.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for adult patients during overnight shifts
• Manage a daily census of approximately 16–18 patients
• Perform admissions, rounding, and cross-coverage as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Document all encounters accurately within the EMR
• No procedures required

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM only; ABFM not accepted)
• Active North Dakota medical license preferred
• Will consider candidates through IMLC with Letter of Qualification (LoQ)
• DEA license (transferable preferred)
• Licensed providers will be prioritized

Working Hours

• Night shifts available:
  • 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM
  • 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
