Overview Job Summary This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records of product inventory by performing daily counts and taking steps to correct and prevent discrepancies. Typical Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily cycle counts of pick slot product. Perform rechecks of identified count differences between system and manual count. Communicate issues requiring further follow-up. Perform rotating monthly audits of reserve product in aisles, includes verification of UPC, slot placement and count. Perform daily/weekly counts of perishable items such as meat and dairy, includes verification of expiration dates, counts, product condition and quality. Communicate issues to supervisor and buyers. Conduct as necessary any search to locate misplaced or missing product. Input system adjustments and document appropriately. Perform other duties as assigned or needed. Requirements Experience: Performing basic math (add, subtract, divide and multiply, understanding of working with negative, as well as, positive numbers). Ability to: Be self-directed, dependable, demonstrate initiative and possess excellent time management skills. Communicate utilizing excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail in order to effectively monitor progress and complete assignments. Establish and maintain good rapport with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, customers and others. Perform repetitious work accurately and with mental alertness. Learn and memorize location of product and warehouse procedure. Utilize proficiency with numeral data and calculations. Perform quick and accurate 10-key data entry. Prioritize and perform a variety of simultaneous tasks (multi-tasking). Perform primary duties with efficiency and accuracy. Machines and Equipment Operated: Computer keyboard, mouse and other office machines (copier, scanner, fax machine, telephone, etc.).
