Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Sonographer II with prior MFM experience and ARDMS OB/OB-GYN registration for a clinic-based assignment.

Details

• Work in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine outpatient clinic setting
• Patient population includes high-risk obstetric and gynecologic patients across all trimesters
• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, fetal well-being evaluations, and maternal pelvic imaging including transvaginal cervical assessment
• Provide real-time ultrasound guidance for invasive obstetric procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS
• Utilize advanced volume imaging technologies and fetal echocardiography
• 40 hours per week on a schedule of four 9-hour shifts plus one 4-hour shift (half-day Friday)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and complex OB/GYN or vascular scanning
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent (waived if ARDMS certified before December 2000)
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS registration in OB and OB/GYN required
• Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification preferred
• Familiarity with fetal echocardiography, MCA dopplers, and fetal anatomy required
• Ability to provide ultrasound guidance for amniocentesis and CVS preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Independently perform the full spectrum of maternal-fetal and gynecologic ultrasound examinations under general or direct physician supervision
• Support MFM specialists during complex invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under ultrasound guidance
• Acquire and analyze high-quality sonographic images, Doppler waveforms, and physiological data for physician interpretation
• Review patient history to evaluate for contraindications and ensure patients are properly prepared and informed
• Communicate sonographic findings clearly and promptly to supervising physicians
• Provide hands-on training and clinical support to OB/GYN residents, MFM fellows, ultrasound students, and other trainees
• Support new-hire onboarding as needed
