Our trusted customer is actively hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support a fleet of construction equipment used in excavation, earthwork, and site development projects. This is a full-time opportunity with excellent benefits and long-term growth potential. Job Duties- Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and support equipment
- Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrains, and related components
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine service work
- Respond to field service calls and complete on-site repairs as needed
- Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
- Order, install, and replace equipment parts and components
- Ensure equipment meets all safety and operational standards
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently
- Experience with excavation, earthmoving, and site development equipment preferred
- Must provide own basic mechanic tools (specialized tools provided)
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL preferred but not required
- ASE certification, OSHA training, and welding/fabrication experience are a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
