Diesel Mechanic

We are actively hiring a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a trusted customer specializing in large-scale excavation, earthwork, and site development projects. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy construction equipment both in the shop and in the field. If you're an experienced mechanic who takes pride in diagnosing problems, minimizing downtime, and keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently, we'd like to speak with you. Responsibilities Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and support equipment Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains Perform preventative maintenance and routine service inspections Respond to field service calls and perform on-site repairs as needed Work closely with equipment operators and project supervisors to minimize downtime Complete repair documentation and maintain accurate service records Order, install, and replace parts and components as required Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics Ability to independently troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently Experience working on excavation, earthmoving, and site development equipment preferred Must provide own basic mechanic tools (specialized tools provided) Valid driver’s license required CDL preferred but not required ASE certification, OSHA training, and welding/fabrication experience are a plus Pay & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities available Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Company-provided uniforms and safety gear Stable, full-time employment Opportunities for advancement and long-term career growth Apply Today We’re hiring immediately and looking for dependable mechanics who are ready to join a growing team and make an impact.
