About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel and Records Compliance Officer to provide expert legal counsel in a range of focus areas, including athletic matters, trademarks, complex contract drafting and review, non-labor/employment litigation, research contract and intellectual property matters, and general and capital planning bids. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and advising on all aspects of real property matters, as well as assisting in the development of the company's response to new federal legislation to ensure compliance with privacy policies and procedures. This role requires a minimum of 6 years' of legal experience, with a strong background in the specified areas, and the ability to manage a heavy workload with strong communication, analytical, and research skills. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel and Records Compliance Officer position at the company must have a Law Degree and be licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio. The role involves negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and approving various contracts and agreements, and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in these areas. While not a supervisory role, the position demands a high level of professionalism, the ability to work effectively in a team, and a collegial disposition. Previous experience in public higher education or relevant public employment is preferred.
