The Transition Manager will plan, lead, and manage the successful delivery of Data Center Transition and Transformation activities. This senior resource needs to be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, familiar with governing disruptive technologies, managing multiple vendors, contractors, and technology disciplines, while communicating to both business and technology resources. The transition manager should have previous experience working in a technical field and be capable of interacting at a highly technical level resource. The role will report to the Account Sr Director. In this role you will be responsible for:Design and deliver end to end Transition and/or Transformation execution plan for strategic / Complex / ITO engagement which will meet/align customer requirements to serve as the client’s trusted advisor.Participate in presales and customer visits to represent Transition and Transformation function and ensure framework is adopted.Build and Lead high-performing Project/Program management teams, including virtual teams and third party contract resources. Own P&L for T&T and make sure that it is delivered in budget and on timeAssist in the development of transition plans, strategies, and budgetsAnalyze and evaluate program plans to identify improvements in transition strategiesCoordinate program efforts among government program managers and the contracted technical task performersCoordinate with all stakeholders to identify and capture key elements to ensure a seamless transition, with no undue disruption to project performanceAnalyze and evaluate program, proposals and plans, and program metrics to identify improvementsGather and document discovery information from customer using presentations, interviews, and conference callsAnalyze discovery information and develop gap analysis and pareto charts to identify risks, issue, and assumptionsMonitor and control the work to ensure that the project remains on track and in controlAdditional responsibilities as assigned by managementManage scope, scope creepForecasting and measuring performance progress and challengesPro-active leader who partners with client to translate the client’s business requirements into world class actions plan to be executed by the teamProvide governance to Projects / Programs till smooth handover to operations team Drive innovative and best practices to make Technical Transition & Transformation a best in class function Required Experience:7+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure area with at least 7+ years’ experience in Project / Program /Transition/Transformation Management and should have lead a large diverse team5+ years of experience working in highly regulated State or Federal government organizationsMandatory PMP Certification5+ years of experience leading large, diverse teams and created a solution-oriented environment whereby consistently seeking to identify leading edge project management practices focused on delivering value to the client 5 years of managing multiple concurrent project workstreams 3 years of technical experience in a Data Center related discipline.5 yrs. of experience with datacenter transition, consolidation, relocation, or migration7 years of Program / Project Management experiencceBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Information Technology or relative experienceOther Key Characteristics:Experience of structuring, running, and managing complex infrastructure projects in specific technical areas, such as data centers, helpdesks, and networksAbility to work alongside various stakeholders to articulate how business issues may impact overall IT services in a manner that will resonate with the audience.Strong experience working alongside various stakeholders to articulate how business issues may impact overall IT services in a manner that will resonate with the audience.Demonstrated ability in using MS Office Suite, MS Project, and Visio Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong facilitation skillsWilling to travel (20%-50% Travel)ITIL / process improvement experienceExcellent Presentation skillsAbility to work with, manage and negotiate with Clients, Business Partners, Vendors, and Third Party Support ProvidersAbout NTT DATA ServicesNTT DATA Services is a recognized leader in IT and business services, including cloud, data and applications, headquartered in Texas.
