This exciting opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students. Serve as an essential resource for Extended School Year (ESY) services, supporting students’ communication development over the summer. Scheduled hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, beginning July 8, all in an onsite setting near Orono, ME. This contract position is a great fit for SLPs who thrive in dynamic environments and are looking to make a meaningful short-term impact.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates also welcome
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but new graduates encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Commitment to supporting students with a range of communication needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students participating in ESY programs
• Conduct assessments and reassessments as needed to monitor student progress
• Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to develop effective goals and therapy strategies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and progress reports
• Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that enhances student learning and engagement
