With more than 100 years of industry experience, Imperial Electric offers a complete line of products including hydraulic motors, permanent magnet door operator motors, AC and DC elevator motors, AC induction motors, generator sets, ACPM Gearless Traction Machines and Geared Traction Machines. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of technology and company products. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and troubleshoot our products on-site or in officeRespond to customer inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, or in-person Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on our products Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to identify and resolve customer issues Create and maintain technical documentation and service manuals Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical, electrical or mechanical field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independentlyExtensive travel (including international travel) and that doing machine assemblies in the field is also requiredOrganizational Impact* Works to achieve operational, functional, and/or business targets within team with major impact on departmental or job family results, using extensive technical principles* Seasoned technical contributor; works under limited supervision* Works independently on a wide range of moderately complex projects and may be responsible for entire projects or processes within team* May contribute to the development of goals and planning efforts for the departmentCommunication & Influence* Communicate with senior leadership and employees within and outside of department and/or job family on matters that require explanation, interpretation and/or advising; may communicate with external clients or partners depending upon the job area* Influences employees within the business unit to agree and align new concepts, practices and approachesInnovation & Complexity* Responsible for moderate significant improvements of technical/business processes, procedures, or systems to contribute to the performance of the team* Problems are moderately complex, requiring application of broad and deep experience and technical expertise, and may impact on multiple departments.Leadership & Talent Management* Coaches, reviews and delegates work for other professionals* Manage end-of-the-end projects or processesKnowledge & Experience* Requires extensive (deep or broad) technical knowledge of specialty areas with cross-functional and working knowledge of industry practices/other areas, typically obtained through advanced education and strong experience* Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience**Additional Job Details****Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec** Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
