Cost Accountant

Position Overview: The Cost Accountant ensures the integrity of cost accounting information by planning, collecting, and analyzing manufacturing data to determine activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. Strong attention to detail , problem‑solving, and strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and reporting Salary Range : $88,000-$92,000K Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Improve manufacturing costs and pricing processes, procedures and standards Analyze and develop cost standards for materials and labor Analyze manufacturing wastes and identify ways to reduce inventory and proactively communicate the findings to management Analyze inventory valuations and revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and IFRS Support the Revit transition and coordinate interaction between finance and manufacturing Scrutinize manufacturing cost variances & optimize profitability Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP Assist with monthly closing process; posting journal entries and conducting reconciliations Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting Investigate, propose and spearhead process improvements relating to manufacturing expenses Participate and provide support in internal/external auditing and other activities as requested Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a public or private company Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements: Knowledge of ERP system SAP for manufacturing/accounting software and programs In‑depth knowledge of SAP Finance/Controlling (FI/CO) modules including MM, EWM, SD, PS, PP, etc. Highly detail-oriented and organized Ability to multi‑task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills Why You’ll Love Working With Us!
