PCB Layout Designer- US Citizens Only

PROLIM ( is currently seeking PCB Layout Designer for one of our top clients in Cincinnati, OH

We are seeking an experienced **PCB Layout Designer** with strong expertise in PADS to support the layout and documentation of complex, high-density printed circuit boards and circuit card assemblies (CCAs).

**Key Responsibilities**

- Design and develop complex, multilayer PCB layouts using PADS.

- Perform component placement and routing for high-speed digital, RF, and mixed-signal circuits.

- Translate mechanical boundaries and electrical constraints into optimized physical PCB layouts.

- Generate PCB artwork and CCA documentation for procurement, fabrication, and assembly.

- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical design, manufacturing, test, and signal integrity teams.

- Apply PCB design best practices to meet fabrication, assembly, manufacturability, and yield requirements.

- Maintain accurate design documentation and support high-reliability hardware requirements.

**Required Qualifications**

- Minimum 5 years of PCB engineering/layout experience using **PADS**.

- Education and experience: 5 years with a bachelor's degree in science, 3 years with a master's degree, or 1 year with a Ph.D., as specified by the client.

- Experience laying out PCBs and circuit card assemblies, including high-speed digital, RF, and/or mixed-signal circuits.

- Experience generating PCB artwork and documentation for procurement and assembly houses.

- Familiarity with IPC standards for PCB design and fabrication and high-reliability criteria.

- Working knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes, including manufacturability and yield considerations.

- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Willingness and ability to work onsite full-time in Cincinnati, OH.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**

- Experience with advanced, high-density multilayer PCBs combining RF, high-speed digital, and high-power circuits.

- Knowledge of military and aerospace standards, such as MIL-PRF-31032, MIL-STD-883, and IPC Class 3/3A, or comparable high-reliability requirements.

- Experience with PCB library management, including symbols, footprints, and reusable layout elements.

- Experience supporting defence or space programs with stringent reliability, documentation, and traceability requirements.

- Ability to optimize PCB layouts across multiple boards or modules while meeting mechanical and electrical constraints.
