Compensation: $3,500/month + benefits

Location: Denver Metro (field travel statewide)

Reports to: Campaign Manager/GC (or Regional Organizing Director once staffed)

Start Date: As soon as possible (pre-launch ramp and launch support)

About the Campaign: We're a people-first, progressive campaign preparing to launch a competitive statewide race in Colorado. We're building a team that leads with empathy, runs on organization, and shows up every day with dedication for every voter. This role is the campaign's front line: recruiting and developing volunteers, talking with voters, building coalitions, and helping stand up the field program from zero to launch to caucus to GOTV.

Core Responsibilities:

• Direct Voter Contact: Execute door-to-door canvassing, phone and text banking, meet daily and weekly contact and recruitment goals, and maintain accurate data in VAN.
• Volunteer Recruitment & Management: Build, train, and coach a durable volunteer base; plan and lead canvasses, phone/text banks, and local events; build this community from the ground up.
• Coalition & Community Engagement: Cultivate relationships with local advocates, community leaders, campus and civic groups; help organize trainings; represent the campaign at community meetings and events.
• Launch Readiness: Support pre-launch infrastructure, event logistics for announcement, and rapid volunteer onboarding; help stand up launch location[s] and launch canvassing operations from day one.
• Data & Operations: Track metrics for all organizing activities; maintain clean records in VAN and organizing tools; coordinate materials, turf, and schedules with the larger team.
• Message Discipline: Prepare volunteers for persuasive conversations aligned with campaign messaging; surface field intel and voter feedback to the comms and policy teams to improve targeting and narrative.
• Team Culture & Accessibility: Model empathy in every interaction; ensure welcoming, safe spaces for volunteers and voters, and uphold equity and inclusion in staffing and outreach.

Position Qualifications: Must-haves

• Genuine commitment to progressive values and to the dignity of every human; demonstrated empathy, patience, and good judgment in fast-moving situations
• Strong organization: you can juggle calendars, turfs, and volunteers, meet deadlines, and keep clean data
• Dedication and resilience: comfortable with evenings/weekends and the sprint nature of campaigns
• Clear, confident communicator with the ability to train, coach, and motivate new volunteers
• Proficiency with Google Workspace; familiarity with VAN, and a willingness to learn new tools as the campaign grows
• Reliable transportation for in-district travel

Nice-to-haves

• 1–2+ cycles of paid or volunteer organizing experience (issue advocacy, coordinated, or candidate)
• Experience planning trainings (e.g., canvass 101, message coaching, LTEs).
• Spanish speaker

Work Environment & Schedule:

• More than full-time with frequent evenings and weekends
• Community-based with regular in-state travel to priority communities and events

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $3,500 per month.
