Job Description
Medical Assistant - Outpatient Clinic

Schedule

Monday to Friday, no weekend requirement.

Assignment Details

Must float to specified location as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic experience.
• Procedure/surgery experience strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program is required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross only).
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs.
• Conducting venipuncture and specimen labeling.
• Assisting with procedures and maintaining a sterile field.
• Administering injections and medications as needed.
• Performing 12-lead EKGs.
• Handling patient check-ins and check-outs, including scheduling and insurance verification.

Compliance / Notes

Orientation is 120 hours. Two supervisory references from the past year are required at the time of submission.
