Duties and Responsibilities:

• The person handling this position is expected onsite at Landmark’s office in San Jose
• This is not a remote work position.
• Oversee and assist in all aspects of Payroll Accounting including timecards, workers comp, 401k, quarterly and year-end reporting and setting up for a new year.
• Oversee and assist in all aspects of Accounts Payable including GCPay, accounts payable checks, lien releases and the filing of 1099’s.
• Oversee and perform all aspects of Accounts Receivable including billing packages, tracking outstanding invoices, bank deposits, follow-up of outstanding AR, monthly close and reporting.
• Perform all aspects of Banking and Investments including daily/monthly reconciliations, transferring money in all accounts and credit card management.
• Perform and oversee all aspects of Financials including year-end and job costs, adjusting journal entries, and reviewing all accounts. Work with outside CPA firm to file and pay taxes.
• Perform all aspects of Insurance including company renewals, COI’s, year-end audits, workers comp, general liability, owners COI and subcontractor insurance.
• The above duties are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive, other duties may be required and/or assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree complemented with an MBA and CPA is preferred but not necessary, and a minimum of five years of a solid accounting background in the construction industry.
• Thorough understanding of financial controls.
• Legal and risk/insurance experience along with banking knowledge are desired.
• Job skills required would be solid computer skills in MS Office, Excel, Word and Outlook, excellent typing and phone skills.
• Experience with Sage 100 and GCPay would be a plus.
• A valid and current California driver’s license.
• Must have strong time management skills, organizational skills, attention to details and a high level of accuracy, and to exercise good judgement by recognizing urgency and understanding of the importance of deadlines.
