Job Description

Type of Patients on Unit: Typical ER, observation / admission

Weekend Hours: As required by facility (alternating)

Call Requirements: As required by facility

Float Requirements: As required by facility, will float to any inpatient unit

 Number of Beds: 8

Patient Ratios: 4-6:1, estimates, not guarantees

Equipment:

EMR: EPIC

Variable shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week for orientation.

The Clinical Decision nurse coordinates, plans, directs, and implements the nursing process in the delivery of patient care in the medical-surgical setting. Will process high volume of admissions. 

**This is not an ER position

Requirements:

1YR+ Exp Working in Specialty 

1YR+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting 

ACTIVE BLS (AHA)

ACTIVE ACLS (AHA)

NIH (Can be completed with HWS or Facility) 

Must Have Skills/Experience: Strong Med Surg experience

Preferred Skillset/Experience: Neuro and Stroke experience highly preferred

Scrub Color: Black
