HVAC Project Manager / Field Supervisor - AOR / Retrofit

Position Summary Premier Systems is looking for a high-performing, organized, field-minded leader to oversee our AOR (Add-On & Replacement) install projects from sold job to final completion. Add-on or Replacement (AOR) Project Manager / Field Supervisor role is a hybrid between a Project Manager, Install Coordinator, and Field Supervisor. The right person can manage schedules, communicate with homeowners, support install crews, solve problems in real time, and ensure projects are completed the Premier way: Right. Easy. Caring. Growth-focused. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk coordinator role. This is also not a purely hands-on installer role. We need someone who can bridge the gap between the office and the field while keeping jobs moving smoothly, profitably, and professionally. Core Responsibilities Include: Project & Schedule Coordination Coordinate AOR install schedules with dispatch, sales, warehouse, and field teams Ensure projects are fully prepared before install day: Equipment ordered Materials staged Permits handled Scope verified Job notes complete Maintain tight install timelines and communicate proactively with clients Help manage install capacity and crew scheduling Field Leadership & Quality Oversight Visit job sites regularly to support install teams and ensure quality standards Perform spot inspections and quality control checks Troubleshoot field issues and help crews overcome challenges quickly Ensure installs are completed to code, manufacturer specifications, and Premier standards Coach and mentor installers on technical skills, efficiency, and professionalism Assist with difficult installs or field support when needed Client Communication Serve as a point of contact for homeowners during projects Communicate schedule updates, delays, change orders, and project expectations clearly Deliver a high-end customer experience from start to finish Help resolve issues before they become problems Operational & Financial Accountability Monitor labor efficiency and job profitability Help reduce callbacks, warranty issues, and install delays Support clean job documentation in ServiceTitan: Photos Notes Equipment tracking Change orders Completion records Coordinate with leadership on project priorities and production goals What Success Looks Like Jobs completed on time and installed correctly Crews show up prepared and supported Homeowners rave about communication and professionalism Minimal callbacks and warranty issues Strong install profitability and labor efficiency Organized scheduling with fewer surprises and fire drills Install department runs smoother, calmer, and more predictably Ideal Candidate Strong HVAC install background Leadership mentality with the ability to hold people accountable respectfully Highly organized and detail-oriented Calm under pressure and solutions-focused Strong communication skills with both clients and crews Understands how to balance speed, quality, and profitability Comfortable using technology and software systems Team-first attitude with a growth mindset Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of residential and/or light commercial HVAC installation experience. Minimum 2 years of proven experience managing HVAC add-on and replacement projects from start to completion. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience leading install crews. EPA Universal Certification Ability to read and interpret HVAC plans, specifications, equipment submittals, and installation manuals. Proficiency with technology, including: Mobile field service applications Tablets and smartphones Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Job management software (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Successware, or similar) Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to perform site visits, inspections, and field supervision duties, including climbing ladders and working in attics, crawlspaces, and rooftops as needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to pass pre-employment background screening and any required drug testing. Preferred Qualifications NATE certification(s). Associate degree or technical training in HVAC, Construction Management, or related field. Experience with residential sales-to-installation handoff processes. Experience managing project budgets, labor hours, and material costs. Experience conducting employee coaching, performance management, and field training. Experience with inventory control and equipment procurement. Hydronics and boiler experience a plus. Knowledge of duct design, airflow, IAQ products, and controls OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
