Referral Specialist

Job Summary And Responsibilities As a Referral Specialist, you will manage patient access to specialized care by handling referral and authorization processes, including obtaining clearances for specialty visits, ancillary services, medications, DME, and home health. Your role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and clear communication to ensure efficient service delivery. Resolve pre-certification, registration, and case concerns by interacting with patients, insurance carriers, and internal teams. Identify formularies and vendors for medical needs and secure insurance approvals. Complete referral processes for ancillary, consult, radiology, or lab visits, including insurance checks, approvals, scheduling, and patient notifications. Provide backup support for medical practice duties as needed. Maintain a professional, trustworthy image while respecting patient rights and privacy. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED Two years of experience in a healthcare setting Excellent customer service skills Familiarity with coding and basic computer skills Preferred: Bilingual abilities and experience with referral/authorization processes and insurance interactions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
