Senior Accountant

About The Opportunity:A growing, private equity–backed manufacturer in Louisville is looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of its books. This is a hands-on role where you'll run the full accounting cycle through the monthly close and produce the reports that leadership and ownership rely on.Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.The company has the close-knit feel of a smaller business and the structure and visibility that come with PE backing. You'll also have hands-on training and transition support from someone on the team.Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and journal entriesHandle payroll submissions and postingsComplete bank and credit card reconciliationsOwn the month-end close from start to finish, on time and accuratelySupport cost accounting, including inventory and product costingPrepare monthly reporting packages for leadership and ownershipRun reports in Global Shop, the company's ERP systemSupport audits and help with any lender or other outside reportingRequired Qualifications: 3–8 years of accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experienceA bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent hands-on experienceSolid cost accounting experience, ideally in manufacturingAccrual-basis accounting and month-end close experienceAdvanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUPStrong attention to detail and comfort working to firm deadlinesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Global Shop, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online xhyhwjd or XeroFamiliarity with , Ramp or Expensify, and with ADP, Paychex or GustoExperience at a private equity–backed or portfolio companyLender or covenant reporting, or 13-week cash flow forecastingMulti-entity, intercompany or acquisition integration experienceWhy You Should Apply:You'll own the full accounting cycleLeadership and ownership will see the impact of your work directlyYou'll get training and support as you settle inYou'll gain exposure to private equity reporting, which is great for career growth
