Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) Marie, Michigan. This position primarily provides outpatient physical therapy services, with occasional assignments in acute care. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and monitor patient progress to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical function through clinical assessments and appropriate testing of skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
• Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient needs, and treatment tolerance.
• Establish measurable treatment goals and determine the appropriate frequency and duration of therapy.
• Coordinate treatment plans with physicians, patients, families, caregivers, and clinical support staff.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to restore or improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.
• Educate patients and caregivers about diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, exercises, and home therapy programs.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, therapy aides, home health aides, and students in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
• Recommend adaptive and supportive equipment based on patient assessments and coordinate equipment procurement when needed.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and update plans of care as necessary.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, daily treatment notes, and billing records in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or the required qualifying education.
• Current, valid Physical Therapist (PT) license.
• Ability to perform clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide appropriate physical therapy interventions.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
• Willingness to complete required orientation, competency assessments, and fingerprinting.

Preferred Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly preferred within one month of hire or transfer.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Day shift, typically 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• Schedule Flexibility: Some flexibility required.
• Weekend Coverage: Approximately 4 rotating weekends per year.
• Holiday Coverage: Approximately 1 holiday every 3 years.
• Clinical Setting: Primarily outpatient, with occasional acute care coverage.
